Fake Wes Anderson Soundtrack
Just like everybody who blogs is supposedly all snarky now because one girl was really snarky once, I have a theory about everybody who still makes mix-tape-CDs. (I do.) Everyone who's still makes mix CDs, goes for that nostalgic "I don't know why I'm crying" blend of instrumentalized 60's Aquarian songs and harpsichord pop, interspersed with Cat Stevens-esque songs that your mom used to listen to when she was baking and watering indoor plants. I didn't even realize I was following this mix-tape-CD style trend until I noticed my friend had tears welling up in his eyes when we were on a road trip listening to the mix-tape-CD. He was staring out the window at pumpkin fields or something. And it occurred to me, "Why is he crying? I'm crying too."
